We checked each figure on 16 October 2026. Rates and rules change, so check them again before you rely on them.
How the budget works
Each answer feeds one line of the budget. Income comes from the services you tick: Medicare benefits and private fees for general practice, with the bulk billing incentives and the Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program where they apply; chair time and fees for dental; billable hours at NDIS price limits and private fees for allied health. Costs come from your team and running costs, with super at the current guarantee rate and payroll tax only when you enter your state's rate and threshold. Each month is one twelfth of the year, and the profit shown is before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation.
The example practice that the budget opens on is illustrative, built from public Medicare and NDIS figures and typical settings for a practice of its size. Not a client engagement.
